Industry Skillsets
Targeted skills for specific job roles, industries, or workplace requirements. Industry Skill Sets provide focused training designed to develop practical capabilities in key areas without completing a full qualification.

Course Outline
Industry Skill Sets are shorter, focused training programs designed to provide learners with the specific knowledge and skills required for particular job functions, workplace responsibilities, or industry needs. Drawing from nationally recognised units of competency where applicable, skill sets offer a practical and flexible pathway to upskill, meet compliance requirements, or build capability in targeted areas.
Whether you are looking to develop specialist skills, support professional development, prepare for new responsibilities, or address workforce capability needs, our Industry Skill Sets provide relevant and industry-aligned training outcomes. Available skill sets vary across industries and may be delivered to individuals or tailored for employers seeking workforce development solutions.

What a Skill Set Is
Skill sets are shorter, focused groups of nationally recognised units - smaller than a full qualification - designed to build specific, job-ready skills or meet a particular workplace or compliance need. They suit people who want to upskill in a targeted area without completing a whole qualification.
Who These Suit
Skill sets suit individuals wanting to develop a specific capability, and employers seeking targeted workforce development. Available skill sets span areas such as cyber security awareness, business and digital administration, medical administration, customer service and contact centre, micro and new business, supply chain stock control, and surface coal mine safety.
How to Choose
Because each skill set has its own units, duration, and outcome, the best next step is to identify the area you need and enquire about that specific skill set. Skill sets can be delivered to individuals or tailored for employers as a workforce development solution.
USI & Certification
Most skill sets here are nationally recognised. Where a skill set leads to a Statement of Attainment, students must have a verified USI (unless exempt), and certification follows successful assessment. Specific certification details depend on the skill set selected.
Delivery & Requirements
Delivery varies by skill set (workplace or hybrid). Technology and resource requirements depend on the units involved and will be confirmed for the chosen skill set. Some skill sets - for example, surface coal mine safety - involve practical, in-person components.
Learner Support & Reasonable Adjustment
Students have access to trainer support via email and scheduled online tutorials throughout their studies. S2C Training provides reasonable adjustment where appropriate to support individual learner needs while maintaining the integrity of the training and assessment requirements.
Credit Transfer
S2C Training recognises eligible nationally recognised training completed with other Registered Training Organisations through the Credit Transfer process. Students may apply for Credit Transfer and provide supporting documentation, such as a Statement of Attainment or qualification certificate, for assessment.
Transition Arrangements
Where a qualification is superseded, deleted, or substantially amended, S2C Training will manage student transitions in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and organisational policies and will advise students of any available options.

Frequently Asked Questions.
How do I know which qualification is right for me?
The best place to start is with a Free Skills Check and consultation. By reviewing your experience, career goals and existing qualifications, S2C Training can identify the most suitable pathway, whether that is Recognition of Prior Learning, a skill set, a full qualification or a workforce development program aligned to your objectives.
Can I study from anywhere in Australia?
Yes. Many of our courses and RPL pathways can be completed from anywhere in Australia, depending on the qualification and delivery requirements.
For RPL, most of the process can be completed online using your existing evidence, work history and assessor conversations. For training courses, some programs may be available online or through workplace-based delivery, while practical or licensing-related courses may require attendance at an approved location.
Our team will confirm the best study option for your location before you enrol.
